The Stars and Moon

They roll in mud—because it feels good.
They smell each other, they smell you—
they like the way people smell,
but prefer the way they smell.
When wet, they shake their bodies
     twisting contorting—
the world around them is the world around them—
when happy, they shake their tails,
     sometimes, they drool.

They roll in mud—it feels good.
